Fuchsia Kiss

I love fancy salads! Okay, 'fancy-looking' salads that are also 'no-fuss' cool

So when I was regarding the plump, oviform watermelon presiding majestically on my kitchen counter, I was trying to think up something gorgeous, yet 'no-fuss'.

'What could it be? What could it be?', nagged the voice in my head.

'Well, how about a salad?'

'A salad?'

'Yes, a salad. A fine one. With an exotic name.'

'Well?'

'Fuchsia Kiss.'

'And what shall your roseate kiss be seasoned with?'

'Ah, with a fine vinaigrette of lime juice, oilive oil and honey…'

'Aha, I see!…And?'

'A generous sprinkling of the ruby seeds of a tart-sweet pomegranate…'

'And?…'

'…And a final flourish of grated feta cheese.'

'Ah!'

'Oh, wait! I'm not done without the slow green shower of tender Aroma King (lemon) leaves and a sapid dash of freshly-ground peppercorns.'

'That's quite a kiss!'

'Yes, quite – and one that hardly fades away…' smiley
