Bernard Shaw once said: "There is no love sincerer than the love of food." So it is. Here's me trying to put together a Valentine's Day menu and I am already drowning – not in love but in a deliciously tantalizing fantasy of food
The husband loves surprises so I am not encouraged to discuss plans and googling out that ideal menu for supper turned out to be less than exciting. Phew!
I'd already baked a cake – a nice fruity affair dredged with rum – last night and finally decided to put all my doubts to rest with a super-silky chicken penne alfredo. I so love the one-pot meal idea.
And to go with it, some cheeeezy garlic bread…
…AND a little wine, of course
